PROFILE
Name: Leon/Squall Leonhart [Original Universe]
Age: 25
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Sexuality: Questionably asexual/bisexual
Housing: A house in the artisan district with a small library in the back - sharing the house with Zell Dincht [TU] [for now?].
Marked: No

Leon has brown, layered hair that falls about his neck and shoulders, and blue eyes. On his face there is a scar that runs diagonally from right to left between his eyes. He wears a plain white t-shirt, a black leather fur-collared jacket that falls to his mid-riff and is marked with red designs [red wings on the back, and red Griever symbols on the sleeves], a silver necklace with the Griever pendant hanging from its chain, black leather pants, black boots, black leather gloves and... a lot of belts. Leon likes belts and leather and the color black, I don't know.

Leon can be a bit awkward when expressing himself, sometimes, and with the crowd he runs with he tends to express his exasperation more than anything else. To those who meet him for the first time he can seem reserved and a bit short in words, withdrawn into his thoughts. He cares, though, and shows it more openly than he had done in the past to those he comes to care for - he acts sort of like a protective big brother, watching over his friends and loved ones even if they can come to irritate him.

Nevertheless, despite having opened himself up somewhat, this hasn't effected his leadership skills and judgment - Leon is still a fantastic leader and not afraid to take charge in times of crisis if he sees that it's needed, and he's still willing to guide and help others fix their mistakes and problems should they need his help. He keeps a level head and temperament that allows him to see the best course of action and make the best decisions for the situation, instead of allowing emotions to cause him to rush into things blindly and say things without thought. He also has a strong sense of duty and loyalty, and isn't one to back down in the face of adversity. 'Whatever' is also his favorite word.

Leon's skilled with a weapon called the gunblade, a sword with a trigger and the inner workings of a gun that fires... fireballs. Idon'tknoweither. He's also quite collected and calm, which makes him a good leader in times of crisis and trouble.

As stated before, Leon can be a bit on the awkward side when attempting to express himself, and he can also be a little withdrawn at times and keep his thoughts to himself. It can make him come off as cold and standoffish, sometimes. And he can get hurt, die, get sick, yadda yadda being human etc.

MAJOR TL;DR COMING UP.

Leon was born in Radiant Garden as Squall Leonhart. However, his home was eventually overtaken by Heartless, and he and others, including Cid, Aerith and Yuffie, were forced to retreat to Traverse Town for quite a time. Feeling ashamed at the fact that he couldn't defend his home world, Leon shed the name Squall and began going around as Leon, to try and part with his past and the helpless man he once was. He vowed never to return to using his birth name until the Heartless were defeated, once and for all.

Even in a world away from home, Leon got busy at work. He formed a Heartless Resistance that kept an area of Traverse Town safe, and he traveled between worlds himself so that he could help and rescue refugees whose own worlds were overtaken by the growing tide of darkness. This was noticed by King Mickey, who, nine years after Radiant Garden's fall, sent his trusted friends Goofy and Donald to find him to help them find the chosen wielder of the Keyblade.

Leon beat them to the punch - he found Sora, and challenged him to a fight to test the new Keyblade Master's skill. Needless to say he whipped Sora's ass, and brought the unconscious teenager back to the Resistance Hideout, where he and Yuffie explained about the Keyblade and Sora's new destiny once the boy had woken up. Leon helped Sora to meet up with Donald and Goofy, and with a few farewells sent them off to new worlds.

That wasn't the last time Leon and Sora saw each other during Sora's first adventure. They return to Traverse Town for the scarred man's advice, and this time Leon explains about the keyholes of the worlds and how important the Keyblade is to each world - if the Keyholes aren't locked with the Keyblade, the Heartless will crawl in and corrupt the heart of the worlds, thus causing them to fall to darkness. He also gives Sora a gift - the Earthshine Gem, which contains the spirit of the powerful lion SImba, who will aid the boy in battle should he require the help. He also, later on, informs Sora about Maleficent, Ansem, and the pieces of Ansem's journal that are scattered across the worlds, before sending the boy off again.

They meet one last time - Sora, Donald, Goofy and a girl named Kairi come to Traverse Town from Hollow Bastion, where Sora tells him everything that's happened. Leon, Cid, Yuffie and Aerith follow him to Hollow Bastion to help him finally defeat Maleficent, before accompanying him to the Grand Hall to bid Sora farewell as he locks the heart of Hollow Bastion - because once he does, they may never see each other again. Leon, however, helps to calm Sora with his parting words -

"We may never meet again, but we'll never forget each other."

The Leon that is seen in Chain of Memories is not the real Leon but a product of Sora's memories that are being manipulated by the girl Namine, therefore, Leon has no memory of the events of that time taking place. However, it is good to note that while the Leon of Sora's memories has no recollection of meeting the boy in the first place, nor any idea why he knows Sora's name, he still helps Sora on his journey and gives the boy advice - his parting words to Sora, when the boy is leaving the Traverse Town of his memories, is that everything will be all right no matter what shape reality may take for him.

In Sora's second adventure, he and Leon are reunited as Cid, Aerith, Yuffie and he, along with Merlin, have been working to restore Hollow Bastion from the grips of the Heartless. He is the head of what is called the Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee, and works tirelessly to fight back the Heartless and get them out of Hollow Bastion. He meets with Sora again, and informs him about the Heartless and Nobody infestation in Hollow Bastion, and asks for their help with cleaning them out, instruction them to meet him at the bailey when they're ready. There, he shows them the biggest problem with cleaning up Hollow Bastion - the castle is completely surrounded by Heartlesses, a giant mass of darkness, and they don't have enough power to clear them out on their own. They talk, and Sora informs Leon of the situation with Pete and organization XIII - but they're overheard, and are forced to fight Dusk Nobodies in order to defend the gate. They have a brief encounter with the Nobodies of Organization XIII, before finding something out - the membership card Leon gave to Sora is a key to unlocking another world. With this revealed, Leon bids them farewell once more as the gang heads off again.

The next time Leon meets up with the gang, it's to inform them of a rather important discovery - of finding Ansem's computer in the Borough. They go to it, and Leon is forced to stand back and watch as Sora, Donald and Goofy are digitized and sucked into the computer's very system by an AI called the MCP. They return, and explain to Leon that they can't get to Ansem's data within the computer without a password, and they temporarily abandon hope due to Ansem's defeat at Sora's hands. But they find a clue in scribbles that were hidden behind a painting, due to the help of Tifa, and eventually unlock the password - as King Mickey makes it clear, it's the name of the seven princesses, who are able to unlock the door to darkness mentioned in the scribblings. WIth the password entered, Sora, Donald and Goofy return to the inside of the computer, and eventually defeat the MCP, which allows them full access to Ansem's data. Returning to the real world, Leon goes to work searching up the files, but has to leave the data in the hands of the trio as he leaves to check what the last attack did to the town outside.

Eventually Hollow Bastion comes under a major Heartless attack. Leon, along with others of the town, lend their strength to Sora to help him wipe out the Heartless and defend the town from their attack. Sora makes it to the castle, fights his way through, and eventually, once more, departs from Hollow Bastion.

Sora returns, to find out the MCP is at it again. Leon is busy trying to defeat the Heartless the computer is cranking out from its data. But Cid begins to work on a disk to solve the problem, and the three go to the computer room to inform Aerith and Leon about it, and access Tron's world again, with Leon's words for Tron to head to the I/O Tower to retrieve the Eradicator program in mind. While Aerith holds down the computer room, Leon makes his way back to Merlin's House, where he retrieves the disk and heads back to upload it for the gang. He reaches the computer room, and struggles with the MCP... only to have Aerith successfully load the program just by inserting the disk into the computer. That's what Leon gets for doubting the flower girl. The MCP is wiped out for good, and the trio is brought back. The Heartless settle down, and rank even fewer numbers than they had before the interference of the MCP. Tron, as a gift for getting rid of the MPC, allows everyone to see what the town was like before the attack, and Leon and co. remember Hollow Bastion's true name - the Radiant Garden, their home. After this, Sora, Donald, and Goofy leave again, and that's the last time Leon sees them again.

The last of Leon that's seen is of him receiving a mysterious letter. There's no doubt that Leon returned to wiping out what was left of the Heartlesses in the Radiant Garden, and back to rebuilding and restoring the world to its former glory.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Leon has a bit of non-canon history mixed in. Therefore, he knows Zell Dincht, Irvine Kinneas, and Quistis Trepe, but they were lost in the first Heartless attack at Radiant Garden.
